HOW SOME PEOPLE CAN POP THEIR EYES OUT

Popping one's eyes out, medically known as globe luxation, is an extremely rare phenomenon. It typically only occurs under specific conditions or in individuals with certain medical conditions, such as shallow eye sockets or conditions like Ehlers-Danlos syndrome that affect connective tissue.

Possible Causes of Eye Popping:

1. External Force: Excessive pressure or trauma to the eyes or surrounding area.

2. Medical Conditions:

Thyroid eye disease (Graves' orbitopathy) can cause bulging eyes but usually not full dislocation.

Weak connective tissues or shallow orbits.

3. Voluntary Control: A tiny number of individuals can pop their eyes out voluntarily due to naturally loose eye sockets or hypermobility.

Risks of Popping Eyes Out:

Eye Damage: Strain on the optic nerve or blood vessels can lead to vision loss.

Infection: Exposure of the eyeball can increase the risk of infection.

Permanent Damage: Repeated dislocations may cause long-term issues.
